Kamal Mustafa - Chairman & CEO

With an impressive career spanning over 40 years, Kamal Mustafa is a major figure in the banking and finance industries. He founded and served as Chairman of two successful investment banking and financial firms, BlueStone Capital Partners and Wildwood Capital.

Mr. Mustafa began his career in banking, first with Connecticut Bank and Trust where he became Head of Corporate Finance/Credit, then with Citibank, where he ultimately ran Global M&A, building Citi’s capabilities from a new player to #3 in M&A originations during his tenure. Mr. Mustafa subsequently became the managing director of M&A and the newly formed merchant banking group at Paine Webber before accepting a new challenge to build and run KSP, a successful billion dollar LBO fund for John Kluge.

In the late 1980’s Mr. Mustafa established the investment bank and brokerage firm of BlueStone Capital, which under his guidance became a leader in middle market corporate finance until it was sold. In 2002, He later formed Wildwood Capital, an investment bank which advised both middle market companies and some of the world’s largest financial institutions. Mr. Mustafa has served as a trustee for the University of Connecticut and continues to serve on a number of corporate boards.

Leonard J. DeRoma - President & COO

Mr. DeRoma began his career at Citibank in the 1970’s working with Kamal Mustafa in Citibank’s corporate finance department. Using new techniques, together they developed sophisticated financial planning and modeling tools to help provide financial advisory services to Citibank’s corporate finance clients.

Mr. DeRoma moved to the fixed income trading business, where over the next twenty years he worked for a number of major financial institutions by managing large components of their domestic and foreign fixed income and foreign exchange businesses. Services included global financing activity for Lehman Brothers, US Fixed Income investment banking, trading, capital commitment, derivatives, sales, underwriting, research, and, as the President of Barclays US securities business, product development for Barclays Capital. While at Barclays he was also advisor to the US ALCO committee and chaired the US Risk Management Committee.

He managed the same businesses for McDonald Investments and KeyCorp. Most recently, he worked with Mr. Mustafa at Wildwood Capital, providing advisory services to middle market industrial companies and to global financial institutions. Over the course of Mr. DeRoma’s career he has created various securities financing techniques and pioneered various global financing structures. In addition, he has served as a director of a number of public companies and funds.

Mr. DeRoma has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. He has served on several industry boards and associations, including the Public Securities Association and the Bond Market Association. He has been a speaker at numerous conferences on credit and markets in the US, Europe and Asia.

Adam Mustafa, Managing Director, Model Development & Client Services

Mr. Mustafa has a breadth of senior level experience as a banker, financial services consultant, and corporate CFO. Most recently, he was CFO and Treasurer for Secure Symbology, Inc., an early-stage technology company named in 2007 as New Jersey's Emerging Business of the Year by NJBiz Magazine. Prior to that, Mr. Mustafa worked as a consultant for Deloitte and Touche where he provided valuation expertise to companies in the financial services sector, including FAS 157 valuations and valuation reviews in support of audits. Mr. Mustafa has held several positions on Wall Street, including as an analyst at BlueStone Capital, a small-cap investment bank backed by ABN AMRO, and at TheStreet.com, where he provided direct analytical support to CNBC star Jim Cramer. Mr. Mustafa has an MBA from Georgetown University and a BA from Syracuse University.

Malcolm Clark - Managing Director, Technology

Mr. Clark has over 25 years experience in financial markets and technology, generally straddling the two disciplines. After developing technology for Morgan Stanley's New York and international repo desks, he moved onto the desk as a repo trader in London. He later joined CSFB with responsibility for both repo trading and developing repo technology. Subsequently he headed up the front office technology group in the Pacific region for CSFB in Tokyo, and then moved into to Fixed Income Research where he was a market strategist for the Japanese, Australian and New Zealand markets from Sydney. Back in London and deciding to leave mainstream investment banking in 1999, Malcolm took a stake in Anvil Software, a small technology firm supplying global repo trading software. He headed up sales, marketing and product strategy, overseeing international growth and the eventual sale of of the company. Malcolm has a degree in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Todd DellaCamera - Managing Director, Capital Markets, Treasury & System Development

Mr. DellaCamera has 20 years experience in investment banking and treasury management. Before joining Invictus, he was Head of Capital Markets for HSH NordBank, where his responsibilities included the management of the financial engineering, securitization, derivatives trading, sales and funding teams. As Treasurer and Chairman of HSH NordBank ALCO, he managed the market risk profile of a $22b balance sheet and created several debt programs and structured vehicles to fund. He later became CEO of HSHN Securities LLC, the broker/dealer subsidiary for originations and underwritings. Prior to HSH, Mr. DellaCamera spent 15 years structuring and trading derivative cross‐currency products at various institutions, including head trading responsibilities at Credit Lyonnais and financial engineering responsibility at Sumitomo Bank Capital Markets. He has a degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Rochester.

Ian Harvey - Managing Director, International

Ian Harvey has 26 years experience in corporate banking and the debt capital markets. He has structured and arranged investment grade and leveraged syndications in the UK, Europe and the US for companies in a wide range of industry sectors. In Spain he completed the first ever traditional US private placements for public and private Spanish companies, effectively creating an investor market for these issuers. Ian also has experience marketing a wide range of other debt products, including yen placements, commercial paper, medium term notes and bonds. From 1998 to 2002 he was Head of Syndications and Debt Products at Bank One (formerly The First National Bank of Chicago) and from 2007 to 2010 he was Head of Loan Syndications at AIB Capital Markets. Mr. Harvey is a graduate of Oxford University and a holds a Certified Diploma in Accountancy.

Paul Maletsky - Managing Director, Equities & Analytics

Paul Maletsky has over nine years experience as an equity trader, analyst and in portfolio management. Most recently, he was an independent equity trader. Mr. Maletsky has developed proprietary trading strategies, valuation techniques and managed trading desks. Paul has held several positions on Wall Street, including as an analyst at BlueStone Capital, a small-cap investment bank backed by ABN AMRO. Mr. Maletsky has a BA in Engineering from Lafayette College and is a Level II CFA candidate. He also is Series 7 and Series 55 licensed.

Christopher R. Page - Managing Director & COO – International

Christopher Page has over thirty years global banking and investment banking experience. He has worked in a widely diverse geography from Western, Central and Eastern Europe to the US, Middle East, Central and South America, China, Japan and a number of other Asian countries. He has served on a number of corporate boards both public and private.

For nearly twenty years until the early nineties, Mr. Page was at Robert Fleming and as a Director from the mid seventies. In that time he dealt with M&A, IPOs and other issues, corporate advisory, venture capital, private equity, asset management as well as serving on the banking Board.

Moving to the US he was a Managing Director of a private German bank, responsible for the international development of its asset management and corporate finance activities. In the mid nineties he formed his own investment bank boutique, Brabinger Capital and undertook a wide range of international assignments, including managing a new bank in Romania, senior advisory role with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, special advisor to Governor of Hebei Provence, China, established The Romania Investment Fund, as well as numerous business development and financial advisory activities in Europe, US and Asia.

More recently, and now relocated to Europe, Mr. Page has been involved in banking advisory and in particular serving as a director on a mining group focused in Southern Africa.

Mr. Page is qualified as a Chartered Accountant and also as a Member of The Institute of Taxation.

Charles L. Perry, Jr. - Managing Director, Insurance

Charles L. Perry, Jr. has spent 36 years in senior levels of insurance and banking. Most recently he was Principal of EAG, a risk management consulting group working with lending institutions and insurance companies in the real estate marketplace. EAG’s clients include nationally recognized commercial banks, non-bank institutional real estate lenders, life insurance companies as well as community banking organizations.
Prior to founding EAG, Mr. Perry had for 12 years been CEO of Environmental Warranty, Inc., an insurance underwriting and brokerage firm selling risk management services and specialty insurance products to and through banks. Formerly, Mr. Perry headed the Finance Industry Group at the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company where he was responsible for the design of insurance products aimed at the financial institutions market.

Prior to entering the insurance industry, Mr. Perry was a Senior Vice President and Group Head with Bank of New England Corp. and the Connecticut Bank & Trust Company. There, for almost 20 years, he managed various business units, including Correspondent Banking and their loan participation and daily settlement business, the Institutional Banking Division, the National Accounts Group and the Real Estate Origination Group.

Mr. Perry received a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut, a graduate degree in Financial Management at the Amos Tuck School, at Dartmouth College. He is also a graduate of the Tuck Executive Program (TEP) at Dartmouth College.

He has been on the board of The Small Business Development Center of Connecticut, served on an advisory board for Fannie Mae, chaired and been a member of numerous committees of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Commercial Real Estate Finance Group. He has testified before the U.S. Senate Banking Committee on risk management issues impacting banks and is a frequent speaker on topics involving real estate finance, risk management and insurance.

Bayard F. Tracy - Managing Director, Regulatory & Client Services

Bayard Tracy has had a 35 year career in financial services combining line, managerial, board and consulting experience across the banking, insurance and securities industries. Mr. Tracy began his banking career at the Connecticut Bank and Trust Company in middle market commercial lending. In the International Banking Division, he was responsible for the bank’s Middle East and later Far East businesses, serving both domestic and foreign based customers. After a series of domestic corporate lending positions, Mr. Tracy managed a $300 million lending group responsible for large corporate, national credit, and services relationships. In that position he was responsible for specialized industry lending including, radio, cable TV, and security monitoring businesses; national corporate and real estate syndications; correspondent bank participations; foreign direct investment customers; and the bank’s insurance industry relationships.

After banking, Mr. Tracy was an executive and board member at American Skandia Life Assurance Company, a major underwriter and distributor of variable annuities nationally. Since leaving Skandia, he has been a Managing Director at North Shore Partners, consulting in the life insurance, REIT, and securities industries. He received his BA from St. Michael’s College and his MBA from Babson College.

David Treene - Managing Director, Marketing & Client Services

David Treene has over 20 years as an operational and marketing executive in financial services, consumer products, and business to business segments. He began his career as a Brand Manager on various consumer products brands with Pfizer and Kraft General Foods. He has served as a VP of Marketing and Business Development for Philips Lighting, and has also directed advertising and other marketing communications activities for CIG Commercial Financing and AT&T Capital Corp. He holds an MBA in Management and Marketing from Columbia Business School and a BS in Psychology and Economics from Colgate University.

Bradford H. Wainman - Managing Director, Marketing & Client Services

Bradford H. Wainman has 25 years experience in the financial services and commercial real estate industries. He has business line, new product development, managerial, leadership, asset valuation and consulting experience across the banking and commercial real estate industries. Mr. Wainman started his banking career at Connecticut National Bank in the commercial real estate lending division. He eventually became the head of the loan resolution and asset disposition areas where he was responsible for the resolution of $750 million in criticized assets.

Most recently he was Director of the Commercial Banking Business Segment for Peoples United Bank responsible for a $1.6 billion portfolio in the New England market. His responsibilities included underwriting, risk management, credit approval, loan resolution, asset disposition and sales development. Prior to this assignment he held senior positions at Peoples United Bank in the Commercial Real Estate Department where he lead a team to source, underwrite and close over $4.0 billion in commercial real estate secure loans.

He has pursued entrepreneurial endeavors owning and operating numerous small businesses. He is currently involved in the development, ownership and management of commercial real estate through both direct asset purchase and through the acquisition of nonperforming commercial mortgage notes.

Mr. Wainman received both a BS and an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut. He has also pursued post graduate management and real estate studies at Columbia University Graduate School, The Wharton School, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
